Homes Targeted In Finaghy Burglaries

A spate of burglaries in the Finaghy area has prompted police to call for vigilance.

Homes in Priory Park, Sicily Park and Locksley Parade have been broken into over the past week.

PSNI has asked the public to be vigilant and report unfamiliar persons or vehicles by calling 101.

Man Arrested Over Number Of Burglaries In Ballymena
A man has been arrested on suspicion of a number of burglaries and attempted burglaries in Ballymena. As part of an investigation, the PSNI searched a house in Co Antrim after a number of commercial burglaries in the town centre over the past six months.

Police Probe Spate Of L'Derry Burglaries
Police are probing five burglaries in L'Derry over the weekend which they believe may be linked. On Saturday evening, 31 August, two homes in the Coolen Park area of Culmore were targeted, with rooms ransacked and money and jewellery stolen. These incidents took place between 5.40pm and 7.53pm.

Power Restored To Thousands Of NI Households
NIE Networks has confirmed that electricity has been restored to around 53,000 customers after Storm Ophelia. Employees have been carrying out repair work throughout the night since Monday, 16 October. Approximately 270 homes and businesses still remain without power in the South Eastern areas.

Suspect Charged Over North Belfast Burglaries
A man will appear in court today charged with offences related to a spate of burglaries in north Belfast. The 35 year-old was arrested in the Brompton Park area of the city in the early hours of Thursday morning, 13 February, after a car stolen during the break-ins collided with a parked vehicle in Duneden Park.
