Six More Coronavirus Deaths And 570 New Cases

Six people who tested positive for coronavirus in Northern Ireland have died in the last 24 hours, according to the latest figures.

A total of 570 people have tested positive out of 2,676 individuals tested, according to the Department of Health.

A total of 413 with Covid-19 are currently being treated in hospitals, 51 in intensive caste and 44 on ventilators.

Latest Covid-19 Infection Survey Results Published
The latest weekly Covid-19 Infection Survey results have been published by the Department of Health. The report states that due to the relatively small number of tests and positive swab results within the sample, credible intervals are wide and therefore "results should be interpreted with caution".

84 New HIV Cases Diagnosed In 2018
More than 80 new cases of HIV were diagnosed in Northern Ireland last year, it's been revealed. The Public Health Agency is encouraging everyone to practise safer sex and get tested early if they have put themselves at risk. The warning comes ahead of World AIDS day, Sunday 01 December.

Another Death From Swine Flu
While another person in Northern Ireland who had tested positive for swine flu has died, the Department of Health has said, consultations with family doctors in NI over suspected swine flu are slowing. The Department of Health revealed the news as it published a new flu bulletin for Northern Ireland.

Tesco Withdraws Meat Loaf After Horsemeat Find
Tesco has withdrawn a frozen meat loaf from its line after it was found to contain horsemeat, made by County Down firm Eurostock Foods. The Tesco Simply Roast Meatloaf tested positive for between 2% - 5% horsemeat. A spokesperson from Eurostock Foods said: "We are shocked and disappointed by this result.
