Cash Stolen In Co Down Burglary
A sum of cash has been stolen from a house in Portaferry, Co Down.
Police are appealing for information following the burglary on Monday evening, 09 March.
Entry was forced to the property in the Ballyblack Road area sometime between 2pm and 7pm that day. The owners returned to discover a quantity of money had been taken.
Detective Constable Shivers said: "Our enquiries are continuing, and I would appeal to anyone who may have been in the Ballyblack Road area between 2pm and 7pm on Monday, and saw any suspicious activity, or any vehicles being driven in a suspicious manner to get in touch with our detectives in Bangor on 101, quoting reference number 1644 of 09/03/20."

Pensioner rescued following river bed fall
An elderly man has been rescued by firefighters after falling into a dry river-bed in Co. Tyrone. Eighty-four-year-old Duncan Stewart was trapped for eight hours before emergency services arrived at the scene at Templereagh Road, near Stewartstown around 7pm on Monday evening.

Teenager Hurt At Flag Protest
A teenager has been hit by a car during a flag protest in east Belfast. The boy was struck by the vehicle at the junction of Albertbridge Road and Templemore Avenue after 7pm on Monday night, according to police. He is believed to have injured his leg in the incident, however it is not thought to be serious.

Bus driver injured in knife attack
A bus driver has suffered knife wounds to his arm after being attacked in a north Belfast bus terminal last night. At around 7pm three masked men dragged the driver from his bus at the Westland Road terminus on the Oldpark Road. A struggle unfolded between the man and his attackers who were armed with knives and hammers.

Two elderly brothers assaulted at home
Two elderly brothers have been assaulted at their home in Co Armagh on Wednesday. The men, who are in their 70's, were at home in the Creenagh Road area of Loughgall when around five men called at the door at around 7pm. The assailants, who were aged between 19 to 25-years-old, knocked the door repeatedly before being let in by one of the brothers.
