£38k Cannabis Seized In Co Tyrone
Cannabis worth an estimated £38,000 and a haul of prescription drugs have been removed from the streets of Co Tyrone.
A 21 year-old man was arrested during the operation in Coalisland on Thursday 05 March.
He is being held on suspicion of a number of drugs offences.
PSNI Sergeant Cochrane welcomed the seizure.
"We know that drugs can ruin lives and line the pockets of organised criminals and we are determined to disrupt and dismantle criminal activity relating to the trafficking in illegal pharmaceuticals.
"We are committed to making Northern Ireland a hostile environment for those in our communities who are involved in the drugs trade and anyone tempted to becoming involved should be under no illusion that we will seek to identify them, arrest them and bring them before the courts."
Any members of the public with information or concerns about the sale or supply of drugs in their community is urged to contact police using non-emergency line 101. Details can also be provided by dialling the Crimestoppers anonymous line on 0800 555 111.

A Newtownabbey man has been handed a custodial sentence for a series of drugs offences following police raids as part of a paramilitary probe. 49-year-old William Axon will serve two years imprisonment, half in custody and half on licence.

A man has been arrested and £66,000 cannabis seized during a vehicle stop and search in Co Antrim. Roads Policing officers stopped a car near the Sandyknowes roundabout in Newtownabbey on Wednesday afternoon, 12 February, and arrested the occupant on suspicion of drugs offences.

Two arrested following police raids
Two men have been arrested following police searches in north Belfast. Two handguns, ammunition, drugs worth an estimated street value of £27,000, documents and around £17,000 in cash, were seized during the raids, which are believed to be linked to organised crime in the city.
