Appeal Over Failed ATM Theft In Co Antrim
Police are appealing for information following an attempt to steal an ATM machine from a shop in Co Antrim.
A business on the Largy Road in Ahoghill was targeted shortly after 2.05am this morning, 21 February.
Police say a vehicle, reported as a dark coloured Vauxhall Vectra, was spotted in the forecourt of the garage ramming the shutters a number of times.
A man then got out of the car and attempted to break into the ATM on site before making off from the scene empty handed.
Damage was caused to the shutters.
Police enquiries are continuing and anyone who witnessed any suspicious vehicles in the area between 2.05am and 2.25am this morning is urged to contact detectives on 101 quoting reference 118 of 21/02/2020.
Information can also be provided anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

PSNI detectives investigating an attempted ATM theft at a service station on Cushendall Road in Ballymena overnight, have issued an appeal for information and witnesses. It is understood that three men were involved in trying to force the door of the room housing the machine shortly after 2am. They made off without gaining entry.

Omagh Man Arrested Over ATM Thefts
Detectives investigating a series of ATM thefts in Co Tyrone have arrested a man in Omagh. The 26 year-old is being held on suspicion of theft and attempted theft offences in relation to incidents in the Omagh, Fintona and Irvinestown areas between December 2018 and March 2019.
