Church Attack A Sectarian Hate Crime- PSNI

Criminal damage caused to a Catholic Church in Larne, Co Antrim is being investigated as a sectarian hate crime, police have confirmed.

The place of worship in the Agnew Street area of the town was targeted at around 11am on Sunday morning, 16 February.

It's understood a paint ball was thrown at the wall of the church.

Sergeant Alan Lowry said: "Enquiries are continuing and at this stage the incident is being treated as a sectarian hate crime.

"We would appeal to anyone with any information to contact police in Larne on 101, quoting reference number 608 of the 16/02/20."

Two Polish residents of east Belfast have become the latest victims of a spate of racist hate crimes in the city, after the living room window of their house on Templemore Avenue was smashed at 23:30 on Monday night. A man in his 20s and a woman in her 40s were in the house at the time.

Two Men Charged In Connection With Sectarian Hate Crime In Lurgan
Two men have been charged in connection with a sectarian hate crime in Lurgan on Sunday 30th April. The men, aged 34 and 37, were arrested in connection with an incident at a property on Ashleigh Crescent, in the town. Following the PSNI investigation, the men have been charged with attempted criminal damage and attempted theft.
