Three Children Present For Coleraine Shooting
Three young children aged under five were present during a shooting at a house in Coleraine, it has emerged.
Releasing further details over the incident in Loughanhill Park on Sunday 09 February, detectives said three adults and three young children were inside when two masked men entered and fired shots.
Two of the children were downstairs and the adults were in the kitchen at around 11.30pm when the gunmen opened fire, striking the kitchen table a number of times.
The masked men then fled the scene.
Police are working to establish a motive for the "reckless" attack.
Detective Inspector Peter McKenna said: "No one was injured during this reckless attack that was carried out by faceless thugs who clearly have no regard for the safety of others.
"What is clear is the hypocrites who carried out this violent attack don't care at all about the children in the community.
"There is absolutely no justification for an attack like this, and we must all work together to bring those responsible to justice and to stop this from happening."
Anyone who has information about the incident, or who was in the area prior to the time the shooting occurred and saw anything out of the ordinary is advised to contact detectives in Coleraine on the non emergency number 101, quoting reference number 1782 of 09/02/20 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Three children have suffered minor injuries following a paint bomb attack on a house in north Belfast on Wednesday. The children – aged six, two and three-months - were all splattered with paint, as well as sustaining minor cuts, during the attack in Cliftondene Crescent shortly after 5.30pm.

Mother And Children Hit By Car
A mother and her six children have been hit by a car while walking to school in Cloughmills, County Antrim. The group was on the Loughill Road just after 08:30 when the incident occurred. The woman and three children were taken to hospital. It is reported that the mother is in a serious condition and that one child is in a very serious condition.

Two People Attacked In Co Down
A man, aged in his 20s, has been injured after he was assaulted by a number of masked men in Killyleagh, Co Down. The attack happened at a house on Irish Street at around 10.30pm on Wednesday, 28 February. Four masked men broke into the house and attacked two men with sticks.

Three children have escaped injury after shots were fired through a window at a house in Belfast. The attack happened at a property on Norglen Parade at around 1.30am on Monday, 03 July. Two adults were also in the house when shots were fired through the living room window. No one was injured.
