Fire As Petrol Bomb Thrown At Coleraine House
The occupants of a Coleraine house have escaped injury after a petrol bomb was thrown through their living room window.
A fire broke out at the Lodge Road property after a device was launched through the window shortly before 1.40am on Monday 03 February.
Damage was subsequently caused to the living room furniture and floor.
NIFRS attended the scene to extinguish the blaze after the occupants managed to prevent any further damage.
Detective Inspector Peter McKenna said it is "extremely fortunate" that no one was injured by the reckless act.
He added: "We are working to establish a motive for the attack, and would appeal to anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area, around 1.35am, including any cars being driven in a suspicious manner, to contact CID in Coleraine on 101, quoting reference 90 of 03/02/20."

Shots Fired At Coleraine Flat
A number of shots have been fired at a flat in Coleraine. The incident occurred at a property in the Hazelbank Road area at around 23.30 on Wednesday night. Damage was caused to the living room and bedroom. No one was inside the property at the time of the attack.

Police are treating a house fire in Antrim as suspicious. Emergency services were called to a house fire at Mallusk Gardens at 00:50am. Extensive damage was caused to the living room and there was smoke damage to the property. No one was in the house at the time.

Man dies in motorcycle accident
A 23-year-old man has died following a road accident in Co Armagh yesterday. Connor Murtagh (23) from Derrymacash Road came off his motorcycle on the Ballynamoney Road in Lurgan at about 4pm. No other vehicle was involved in the accident.
