Man Arrested Over Omagh Racist Attack
A woman has been left in need of surgery after jumping from a first floor window with her three year-old son to escape a racist attack.
Detectives have arrested a 50 year-old man following the incident in Saint Patrick's Terrace in Omagh on Saturday night, 01 February.
It comes after a man armed with a bat attacked a house shouting racial slurs and attempting to force his way past another male occupant to get inside the property.
Fearing for their safety, a 22 year-old woman and a three year-old boy jumped from a first floor window in a bid to get away.
The mother sustained pelvic injuries that will require surgery, while her child was unharmed.

The suspect remained in custody as of Sunday night, 02 February.
Detective Sergeant Robinson said: "Hate crime has no place in society and should be rejected and reviled by everyone. If you can help our investigation, please get in touch by calling 101, quoting reference 1876 01/02/20."
