Arrest Made In England Over Michael Kerr's Murder
Police investigating the murder of Bangor man Michael Kerr last month have made an arrest in England.
A 50 year-old suspect was detained in Birmingham on suspicion of murder. He has been taken into custody at Musgrave Station for questioning.
The pensioner was found dead at his Birch Drive home on Tuesday 19 November.
A widower who lived his life as a creature of habit, police said Mr Kerr was the victim of a vicious beating.

A second man has been arrested by detectives investigating the murder of Constable Ronan Kerr. The arrest follows searches in County Tyrone and Cumbria in England. A 39-year-old man was arrested under the Terrorism Act.

Woman Held In PC's Bomb Murder Probe

Irish Police In Kerr Murder Raid
There has been an overnight raid in Co Monaghan with the Irish police searching property and seizing a number of items as part of the investigation into the murder of PSNI Constable, Ronan Kerr. Gardai raided a property in Scotstown, on Tuesday evening. No arrests were made but a number of items were taken away for forensic testing.

A reward of up to £20,000 has been offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the murder of Mike Kerr. The reward is being offered by Mr Kerr's family and Crimestoppers for information given exclusively to the charity.
