Man Threatened With Firearm In Co Down
A man has been left traumatised after he was threatened with a firearm in Ballywalter, Co Down.
Police said the victim was approached by two males on a red motorbike in the Bartley's Wood area at around 6.15pm on Tuesday 21 January.
The man, aged in his 30's, was threatened by the individuals, one of whom was armed with a suspected firearm, before they fled in the direction of Greyabbey Road.
He was uninjured in the incident but left badly shaken.
Police are hunting two suspects.
The armed man is described as being in his 50's, around 5 foot 10 inches tall, of medium build with bushy ginger/grey eyebrows. He wore a black Berghaus coat that came just past his kneecaps, dark jeans and white trainers which were dirty and old in appearance. He also wore a plain matt finished black helmet.
The second male is described as wearing a dark coloured coat, a shiny black helmet that had white writing on the front and an unusual coloured visor.
Detective Sergeant Bell appealed for information: "Did you see a motorbike with two people on board? Do you have dash cam footage that may have images of this motorbike?
"If you have any information that may assist please contact detectives on 101 quoting reference 470 of 22/01/20."

Appeal Over Ballymena Jewellery Robbery

A 33-year-old man has been arrested and a suspected firearm recovered during a police operation in west Belfast on the evening og Sunday, 07 July. Inspector McCullough said: "Officers carried out planned searches at two properties in the Kashmir Road area of the city – where a suspected firearm and other items were seized from one of the addresses.

According to police a man armed with a machete threatened staff at the shop in the retail park on Orritor Road at about 19:30 on Monday. He escaped with an undisclosed sum of money. No one was injured in the robbery.
