Searches As ATM Thieves Chased Across Border
The PSNI is conducting searches after thieves travelling with an ATM stolen from Co Louth travelled across the border this morning.
The culprits were intercepted on Dunleer Main Street at around 4.30am this morning, Wednesday 15 January, by patrolling members of the Garda Armed Support unit.
Officers pursued the vehicle onto the N1 before the thieves made their way across the border.
Investigations are ongoing and the PSNI is assisting with searches. No injuries occurred during the incident.

The European Parliament's Brexit negotiator, Guy Verhofstadt, said the UK Government needs to find a solution to resolve the Irish border issue. Mr Verhofstadt was at Stormont in Belfast meeting with NI political leaders. He also suggested that NI could remain in the customs union and single market after Brexit.

Cops 'Foil ATM Robbers'
Cops left red-faced last year as criminal gangs repeatedly hit isolated bank cash machines have hit back. ATM ram-raids - which totalled more than a dozen last year - have dropped to just one so far in 2010, and all because of 'secret' security measures agreed with the banks, the cash-handling sector and building contractors.

NI Drivers May Need 'Green Card' To Travel Across The Border
Drivers from Northern Ireland may need to purchase a "green card" to allow them to travel to the Republic after Brexit, insurers have warned. The Association of British Insurers (ABI) said that cross-border drivers will need the card if they wish to drive in countries which are part of the European Union, in the event of a no-deal Brexit.

Mortar Bomb 'Aimed Across Irish Border'
After an Irish army ordnance team made safe a mortar bomb in Co Louth on Tuesday night, it has emerged that Gardaí believe dissident republican group, Oglaigh na hEireann was behind the foiled bomb attack that was aimed at a target north of the border.
