Radio To Fall Silent For Stephen Clements
A minute's silence will be held on Q Radio this afternoon for the station's former breakfast host Stephen Clements.
Regular listeners of the station would have been met with the much loved presenter's voice when tuning in only a matter of months ago. Today, however, many will join the silence as the station pays its respects to the 47 year-old who died suddenly last week.
Clements had enjoyed huge success as Q Radio breakfast host before landing his dream job with BBC Radio Ulster in September.
The corporation announced his shock passing last Tuesday, 07 January.
A statement released by Q radio alongside a picture of the presenter said today: "In memory of our former colleague and friend, Stephen Clements, one minute silence will be observed on Q Radio at 4:30pm today. Please feel free to join us for a moment of reflection."
The funeral was originally set for Tuesday before the family rearranged another date in private. A public event is to be organised for fans of the broadcaster to pay their respects further down the line.
