Two Arrested In Malcolm McKeown Murder Probe

Detectives investigating the murder of a man who was shot dead at a petrol station in Co Down have made two arrests.

Malcolm McKeown, aged 54, was found slumped in his car behind Dewart's Garage in Waringstown on Monday 19 August. It's believed he was shot six times.

Two men aged 62 and 51 were arrested in the Co Down town earlier this morning, Wednesday 18 December.

They have been taken to Musgrave PSNI Station for questioning.

Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Attempted Murder
A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder over an attack in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. A man, aged in his 50s, is in a critical condition in hospital after he was assaulted at a house on the Ballycastle Road on Monday, 26 September. Two other men were also arrested and have been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Women Questioned Over Comber Murder
Two 20-year-old women have been arrested following the murder of a man in Comber in January. 36-year-old Philip Strickland was found shot dead in a car in the Ballydrain Road area on 11th January. Seven people have already been charged in connection with the murder and 16 people have been questioned.

Two Men Arrested On Suspicion Of Kidnapping
Police have arrested two men on suspicion of kidnapping. The males, aged 33 and 31, were detained in Co L'Derry. It is believed there arrests are in connection with an incident in the city on Thursday, 26 October. No further details have been released.

Man Arrested Over Murder Of Colin Horner
A 46-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Colin Horner in Bangor, Co Down. Mr Horner was fatally shot outside a supermarket in from of his young son on 28 May this year. The suspect has been taken to Musgrave police station to be questioned.

The sister of an IRA man shot dead during an SAS operation outside Loughall police station 16 years ago has met PSNI Chief Constable Hugh Orde today.
