Weather Alert As NI Prepares For High Winds
Strong gales are set to sweep Northern Ireland on Wednesday, the Met Office has warned.
A yellow weather alert has been issued with some disruption expected, particularly in more exposed areas.
The alert will take affect at 2pm on 18 December and remain in place until 3am on Thursday 19.
Coastal routes and sea fronts are likely to be hit by spray and large waves, especially for south and southeast facing coastlines.
The public is also advised of potential delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport, with high-sided vehicles travelling on coastal routes also likely to see delays.
