Possible Link Between Co Tyrone Break-Ins
A Co Tyrone business has been rammed by a stolen car and a number of other local firms targeted during an overnight crime spree.
Police are appealing for witnesses to a string of incidents in the Dungannon and Moy areas in the early hours of Wednesday 11 December. A possible link between the incidents is being investigated.
Reports surfaced at around 2am that a green Volkswagen Golf had been reversed into the side entrance of a shop on Dungannon Street in Moy. No entry was gained to the premises but extensive damage was caused to the shutters.
A number of males were seen running from the scene.
Police have since established that the vehicle had been stolen earlier that night during a burglary of a house on the Donaghmore Road in Dungannon.
It was also reported that entry was gained to a catering van parked on the Moy Road in Dungannon. The vehicle was ransacked with food strewn across the floor.
In another local incident, a pharmacy on Irish Street in the town was broken into from the rear of the premises, with a small number of items, including formula milk and tonic drinks, stolen.
Detectives are appealing for anyone who was in the area late on Tuesday night or early this morning and observed the movements of the green coloured Volkswagen Golf to get in touch. Investigating officers can be contacted on 101 quoting reference 83 of 11/12/19.
Details can also be provided anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
