Police Officers Set Upon In Lisburn

A man has been arrested following an incident in Lisburn that left two police officers covered in paint.

The suspect was detained on suspicion of damaging his ankle tag by trying to cut it off and breaching his bail.

He also allegedly threw a tin of white paint over the two officers and assaulted them, gouging one of their eyes in the process.

Appeal Issued For Missing Lisburn Man Thomas McKeown
The PSNI in Lisburn have issued an appeal for help in tracing the whereabouts of Thomas McKeown. The 52-year-old was last seen at around 11.12am in the centre of Lisburn on Tuesday 11 June. Police said that Thomas is a "vulnerable adult" and they are keen to trace his current whereabouts.

Two PSNI officers were attacked while dealing with a reported assault in Lisburn over the weekend. The incident happened as police were in the tow path area of the city's civic centre and were confronted by a group of young people.

Four Men Arrested For Dissident Activity
Four men have been arrested in Newtownabbey on suspicion of dissident republican activity. PSNI officers detained the men on Thursday evening aged 30,35 and 46. They are being questioned in Antrim police station.
