NI Man Charged With Drug Smuggling In Dublin
A Northern Irish man has appeared in court in Dublinon a charge of drug smuggling.
The 28 year-old was arrested after revenue officers seized approximately 1kg of suspected MDMA, worth an estimated €60,000, at Dublin Airport.
The illegal drugs were found with the assistance of detector dog Blue when the luggage belonging to the man, who had disembarked a flight from Amsterdam, was searched.
The man was arrested by Gardai and detained at Ballymun Garda station.
He appeared before the Criminal Courts of Justice on charges of importation of a controlled substance. He was remanded in custody to Cloverhill Prison and will appear again at Cloverhill District Court on 3 December 2019.

Extradited man denies murder
A 43-year-old Chinese man who was extradited from Hong Kong in connection with the death of a Chinese woman has denied murder. Wong Sui Ching appeared today at Belfast Magistrate’s Court charged with the murder of 29-year-old part-time waitress Ho Mi Ye. She had been found strangled at her home in Isoline Street in east Belfast in June 1998.

Many Arrests In Gardaí Drugs Raids
A total of 45 people have been arrested in the past 48 hours in Gardaí a crackdown on the sale and supply of heroin and 'crack' cocaine in the Dublin region. The operation, which involved Garda drug units from Kevin Street, Pearse Street and Store Street stations, resulted in 150 charges being brought, according to Gardaí this morning.

Man Released On Bail Over Lurgan Murder
A man arrested in connection with a murder in Lurgan on Sunday, 06 August, has been released on bail pending further enquiries. The body of a man, aged 45, was discovered at a flat on Victoria Street. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Two Men Charged After Drugs Seized In L'Derry
Two people have been charged after drugs were found during searches in L'Derry. A quantity of suspected class B drugs, as well as cash and other items, were seized during a search in the Waterside area on Tuesday, 22 August. Suspected class A and class B drugs were also seized following a search in the Cityside area.
