Pair Due In Court Over Off-Licence Robbery

Two men are facing charges over an armed robbery at an off-licence in north Belfast.

A business in the Ballysillan Road area was targeted on Monday evening, 25 November.

A 25 year-old man has been charged with robbery, possession of a firearm or imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence and two counts of possession of a class C controlled drug.

Meanwhile, a 20 year-old has been charged with possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, robbery, and possession of class B and class C controlled drugs.

Both are due to appear at Belfast Magistrates' Court today, Wednesday 27 November.

All charges will be reviewed by the PPS, as is normal procedure.

A 25 year-old man has been arrested following an armed robbery of an off-licence in north Belfast. The Ballysillan Road business was targeted shortly after 10pm on Monday evening, 25 November by three males wearing balaclavas, one of whom was armed with a suspected firearm.
