Thirteen community projects are to benefit from £3 million funding the Department for Social Development’s Outreach Programme.

  • ANIMATE: Action Now to Integrate Minority Access to Equality, Dungannon & South Tyrone Borough Council.
  • Ballybeen Regeneration, Castlereagh Local Strategic Partnership.
  • Coming to Your Senses, National Museum & Galleries of NI (MAGNI).
  • Communities in Schools – One Stop Shop, Belfast Education & Library Board.
  • Domestic Violence Prevention Strategy, Belfast Education & Library Board.

  • Target Shankill – The Community Ripples of a Peaceful School, Edenbrooke Primary School.
  • Well, Down Lisburn Trust.
Commenting on the projects, a DSD spokesperson said: “The Department recognises that some communities have not been able to readily access and influence the public services that impact on them. With this in mind, the Programme aims to help public sector organisations across Northern Ireland put into practice the principle of working in partnership with communities and with the voluntary and community sector.”
