Fire Crews Battle Large Blaze In North Belfast

More than 70 firefighters have been battling a blaze at a storage unit in Duncrue Street in north Belfast.

The fire broke out at the animal feed unit at M2 Business Park on Thursday night, 14 November.

No injuries have been reported.

Fire crews remain at the scene and it's anticipated the operation will continue throughout the day.

Interim Chief Fire & Rescue Officer Michael Graham said: "Operations ongoing but incredible work by over 70 firefighters and officers who ensured the fire didn't spread to any neighbouring properties."

An NIFRS spokesperson added: "Crews have worked through the night to bring the fire under control. It is anticipated that firefighting operations will continue throughout Friday."

The public are advised to avoid the area.

Duncrue Street remains closed in both directions.
