Global AI Leaders To Unite In Belfast

Global leaders on Artificial Intelligence (AI) are set to meet in Northern Ireland to discuss key technological advances and how they might change the modern world.

The inaugural AICON conference will take place in The Europa Hotel in Belfast on Thursday 28 November, 2019, bringing together professionals from a host of leading firms.

Google, Amazon and Microsoft will join the AI community in Northern Ireland to examine the practical ways in which AI is transforming how businesses operate and will look at how the latest advances in AI research can be implemented.

With two tracks running simultaneously, business and technology, this event will attract senior business leaders who will want to explore the potential of AI for their business or sector. It will also appeal to a technical and engineering audience who want to:

• gain a better understanding of how to get started in delivering AI solutions

• learn about the most useful tools, techniques, platforms and practical lessons are

Tax-Free Childcare To Be Introduced On 28 April
Tax-free childcare is to be introduced on 28 April, 2017, before being rolled out across the UK throughout 2017. Under the new scheme eligible working families will be able to claim 20% of their childcare costs, up to £2,000 per child per year or £4,000 for a child with a disability.

Newtownards Firm Creates 28 New Jobs
Kane Engineering in Newtownards is creating 28 new jobs supported by Invest Northern Ireland as part of plans to drive sales across Great Britain and the Republic of Ireland. The company plans to double its workforce over the next two years, recruiting additional production operators, engineers, electricians as well as a number of management roles.
