Teen Approached In Suspicious Encounter In Bangor

Police are investigating a suspicious approach to a teenage girl in Bangor.

It's understood the youth was walking in the Robinson Road area of the town at around 6.20pm on Monday 04 November when approached by an unknown male.

The man offered her a lift and issued the request for a second time after her refusal, prompting her to run off when he approached her for the third time.

The suspect is described as wearing a dark hooded top covering his face, dark coloured jogging style bottoms and dark coloured trainers. It is believed the man had his face covered during the incident.

Police said it is not known which direction of the town the man made off in.

Anyone who was in the area around that time on Monday and saw any suspicious activity is urged to get in touch.

Man Shot In County Down
A 28-year-old man has been shot in the leg in a gun attack in County Down. The man was getting out of his car at the Quays in Killyleagh at about 1.00am on Wednesday morning when a man approached him and shot him. Police have appealed for information after a pensioner was robbed by a gang in her home in County Armagh. A spokesperson for the PSNI said that a gang of up to six men broke into the home of a woman aged in her early 80s, by forcing their way through a front window of her home in the Bessbrook area at around 7pm yesterday evening.

Appeal For Information After Teenager 'Grabbed From Behind'
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information after a teenage girl was reportedly "grabbed from behind" by an unknown male. According to police, the 19-year-old girl was walking through Wedderburn Park in Finaghy at around 4/45pm on Monday 15 November, when she was grabbed from behind by an unknown male.
