Appeal Follows Spate Of Burglaries In Co Antrim

A link between three burglaries in the Co Antrim town of Ballycastle is being investigated, police have said.

The spate of break-ins took place on Monday evening, 28 October, beginning in the Leyland Park area. Entry was gained to a house at around 6.35pm, while another house in the same park was ransacked at sometime between 3.30pm and 8.10pm.

Police said it's unclear if anything was taken from either of the properties.

The third incident saw a house in the Atlantic Avenue area targeted sometime between 6.30pm and 10pm, with a sum of money and other items stolen.

A spokesperson for PSNI North Coast said: "Enquiries are continuing and police are investigating a link between these three incidents.

"We would appeal to anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in either area at the relevant time to contact detectives on 101 and quote reference number 1648, 28/10/19. Alternatively information can be provided anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."

Inmate attacks Prison Officers
