Woman Pinned Against Wall In Belfast Burglary
An employee of a Belfast business has been left shaken after she was assaulted during a burglary.
Police are hunting a suspect after a business on Queen Street was targeted at around 6.15pm on Thursday evening, 24 October.
The male entered and asked for change before reaching past the female staff member, pushing her and pinning her against the wall and fleeing with a sum of money.
Detective Sergeant O'Flaherty said: "This was an extremely distressing ordeal for this female member of staff who has been left shaken by this despicable act, which occurred in her place of work where she was simply doing her job and somewhere she should rightly feel safe."
The suspect, who may have been accompanied by a second man, is described as being in his late twenties, of a thin/skinny build and wore a black cap, black jacket and black tracksuit bottoms.
The second man is believed to be around 30 years old and roughly 4'5" tall, wearing a red jacket and jeans and with short brown/fair hair.
DS O'Flaherty continued: "If you think you saw the suspect, or someone who matches the description of the suspect, please call us.
"I would appeal to anyone who was in the Queen Street area just prior to when the incident was reported, or shortly afterwards and saw what happened, or anyone who has information which may assist our investigation to get in touch with detectives in Musgrave on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 1582 of 24/10/19."
Details can also be provided anonymously by contacting Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
