Lucky Escape As Car Flips On Roof
A driver has been lucky to escape injury after a car flipped onto its roof during a collision in east Belfast.
Police attended the scene on Bloomfield Road at around 3.30am on Tuesday morning, 22 October.
A spokesperson said: "Not the kind of call you want to hear over the radio from the control room… 'Can you attend to a report of a car on its roof? Injuries unknown'."
Despite no one being injured, the driver was arrested at the scene. Investigations are underway to determine if the motorist, who had been driving a vehicle with R plates, was unfit through drink or drugs.

Church In Belfast Secures Funding For Urgent Roof Repairs
A church in Belfast has scooped funding for urgent roof repairs. May Street Presbyterian Church, located in the Linen Conservation Area, has been awarded £10,000 from the National Churches Trusts. A total of £596,000 has been allocated for churches and chapels in England, Wales, Scotland and NI.

A woman and her son have escaped injury following a shooting attack in Co Armagh. Shots were fired at a property in the Cloghoge Road area of Cullyhanna on Wednesday, 21 February. Windows were broken in the living room, kitchen and sitting room areas. The woman and child were inside the property at the time of the attack.

Car On Roof After West Belfast Crash
A car has ended up on its roof right next to a bus stop in west Belfast. The incident occurred during the evening rush hour on Thursday 07 February, with bus services being turned away from the closed Stewartstown Road. The route has since reopened after the three-vehicle collision, but traffic was delayed in the area for some time.

A car ended up on its roof following a two-vehicle collision in south Belfast. The incident occurred on the Lisburn Road on Tuesday evening, 28 June. No-one is believed to have been injured in the crash, according to the PSNI. The road was closed however it has since re-opened.
