Pair Charged Over £75k Drugs Find

Two men are due in court after drugs worth over £75,000 were found in north Belfast.

The pair, aged 20 and 21, face a number of drugs related charges following the recovery of suspected Class A and Class B drugs.

Both are due to appear at Belfast Magistrates' Court today, Friday 18 October.

Alliance Councillor Nuala McAllister congratulated police on taking the drugs off the streets of north Belfast.

"Illegal drugs are a cause of misery in many areas," Cllr McAllister said.

"It is too easy for people to fall into a life of addiction which impacts negatively on families and every drug find is to be welcomed.

"I would encourage anyone with information about illegal drugs to pass it to the PSNI on the 101 number or anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111."
