Men Charged As £25k Drugs Seized In Cookstown

Four men have been charged with a number of offences after police seized drugs worth around £25,000 in Cookstown.

Suspected class A and B substances, a quantity of cash and an electric stun-gun device were recovered during the intelligence-led operation on Thursday 10 October.

The suspects aged 29, 25, and two aged 19, face charges of both possession and supply of class A and B controlled drugs and possessing criminal property.

Police enquiries are continuing with the hope of further progress in the near future.

Detective Inspector Colin Patterson said: "Information from the public is also key to our success against those who profit from the trade in illegal drugs. I would ask anyone with any information which can assist us to target these individuals to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."

Four Charged With Drugs Offences
Four people have been charged with class A drugs offences following arrests made on Friday (30 August). Two men, aged 54 and 20, and a 42-year-old woman who are all from Liverpool, and a 35-year-old man from Antrim have been charged with the possession of Class A drugs and possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply.

Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.
