Appeal As Vulnerable Man Assaulted In Co Tyrone
A vulnerable man has been left traumatised after he was assaulted outside a business in Co Tyrone, police have said.
The 35-year-old was targeted in the forecourt of a commercial premises on Omagh's Dromore Road on Wednesday afternoon, 02 October.
It's believed the driver of white Ford transit van, who spoke with a southern accent, was behind the attack.
Police are appealing for information. Constable Holmes said: "At approximately 1420hrs on 2nd October 2019 a 35 year old vulnerable male was assaulted by another male described as having a southern accent, with dark brown hair and wearing dark clothing. The male was also driving a white Ford Transit. The male suffered minor injuries and it was a very traumatising experience.
"We are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the assault to contact police at Omagh on 101 quoting CC2019100201060.
"Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111."

Kids At Home As Rapists Strike
It has emerged that three children were in a house in Co Armagh as their mother was raped by two masked men on Thursday. The men entered a house in the Drumbeg South, Monbrief area of Craigavon shortly after 10pm and sexually assaulted the mother, who was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment after the incident.

Police are appealing for information following a spate of burglaries in the Belfast area in the early hours of this morning, Wednesday, 27 May. At around 2am police received a report that a man who lives in the Fitzroy Avenue area woke to find an unknown male in his room. There was also a second unknown male in the house.

Woman sexually assaulted at knifepoint
Police in County Antrim have appealed for information after a woman was sexually assaulted by two men armed with knives. Police have revealed that the attack happened in the early hours of Sunday morning, as the 22-year-old victim was trying to make a telephone call outside a hotel at Donaghy's Lane in Larne.
