Courier attacked with iron bar
Police are appealing for information after a man was attacked outside a bank in north Belfast early this morning.
The victim, a courier and in his 40s, was delivering mail to the bank on York Street when he was approached from behind by four men.
The men, who are believed to be in their 20s, then attacked their victim, hitting him over the back of the head with an iron bar.
The assailants then made off up a nearby alleyway with the man's delivery package.
The victim is currently being treated in hospital for his injuries, which are not thought to be life threatening.

Police are appealing for information after a man was attacked in Ballymena, Co Antrim. The assault happened in the North Road area at around 3.30am on Sunday, 29 January. A gang of four or five men attacked the victim, aged 37. He was taken to hospital where his condition has been described as "serious".

A man, aged in his 30s, has been attacked in a sectarian-related hate crime in L’Derry. The assault occurred just before 11pm on Sunday, 16 July. A number of men attached the victim and shouted sectarian abuse at him on the Baranailt Road. The men made off in a Silver Leon car. The victim sustained minor injuries.

A man has been attacked by four masked men in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. The man, believed to be in his 20s, was shot in the arms and legs, in the early hours of Thursday morning. The victim tried to escape from the house on Maple Drive where he was attacked, however he was chased by the thugs who shot him again outside the property.
