Woman arrested following assault
A woman has been arrested after a man was assaulted in east Belfast.
The incident occurred at a house on the Beersbridge Road on Monday night.
The victim, who is believed to be in his 60's, was taken to hospital with injuries to his head, face and throat.
Police have appealed for any witnesses to contact them.
The attack is not believed to be sectarian.

Serious assault victim dies from injuries
A 24-year-old man left critically ill after an assault in west Belfast over the weekend has died in hospital. Police were already treating the brutal attack on the young man as attempted murder. The man was attacked at around 2.30am on Sunday as he and a female companion walked along North Boundary Street towards the Shankill area of Belfast.

Man arrested after woman dies in collision
A 61-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a fatal road accident in County Down. A woman, believed to be in her 50s, was hit by a vehicle on the Comber Road in Newtownards at about 9.45pm last night. The victim’s name has not yet been released.

Woman Sought Over Belfast Sexual Assault
Police are appealing for a member of the public who assisted a woman following a sexual assault in Belfast to come forward. A 23 year-old woman was assaulted by a male in a public toilet in Bankmore Square at around 2.15am on Sunday 02 February. A man, also aged 23, was arrested a short time later.

Man Hurt As Kidnap Bid Fails
Detectives are appealing for information after a report of an assault at Edward Street, in the south Belfast area in the early hours of this morning. A police spokesperson said that, at around 20 minutes past midnight, it was reported that a man was approached at a car park in the area by three unknown masked men.

A man has been arrested after a woman suffered serious head injuries at a house in Limavady, Co L'Derry. The 22-year-old was detained by police following the incident, which occurred in the Glenmore Gardens area of the town.
