Market Expansion For Recycling Solutions Firm

A Dungannon based recycling solutions firm has expanded into new markets with a multi million pound export deal.

Kiverco, which deigns and builds recycling plants, secured the £3 million business with waste management company Dulsco in the United Arab Emirates.

The firm has also been exploring Polish markets with the support of Invest NI and has appointed a new distributor to expand its existing partner network and grow business in Europe.

General Manager at Kiverco, Paul Carolan said the deal comes as the firm responds to changes in the industry.

"The recycling industry is changing dramatically driven largely by the requirement for better purity levels in output," Mr Carolan said.

"We have been building recycling plants for over 25 years and our product design has had to constantly evolve with changes in the marketplace.

"We know we have great products that can meet the demands of customers and are keen to grow the business into new markets. Invest NI's support has been invaluable in helping us win this new business, and establish important partnerships in other markets.

"Winning this new contact in UAE is a huge step for us."

Steve Harper, Executive Director of International Business at Invest Northern Ireland said: "Our teams both here and in UAE have supported Kiverco to explore new markets and ultimately help secure this new business in UAE.

"Our UAE team met with Dulsco, a major UAE recycling operator, a couple of years ago and recognised the potential for a trade deal for an NI company. We organised an inward visit to Northern Ireland to showcase the strengths of our recycling sector and as part of this made introductions to Kiverco.

"I am delighted that this has led to the company winning such an important and lucrative contract."
