Baby's Safety Risked As Brick Launched At Car

A brick that narrowly missed the window of a moving car could have landed on a sleeping baby, the PSNI has said.

A woman was left shocked and distressed after the incident on the New Well Road in Dungannon on Tuesday 23 July.

Substantial damage was caused to the vehicle after the brick was launched, in an attack which could have caused serious injuries to the infant.

Police have called for parents to monitor their children's behaviour in the aftermath.

"The consequences of the window being shattered doesn't bear thinking about," an officer wrote on Facebook.

"A baby was sleeping in the rear of the car and would have been covered with thousands of sharp shards of glass and hit with the brick itself which would could serious injuries to an adults let alone a baby.

"This behaviour is unacceptable.

"Do you know where your children are?"
