Vulnerable Adult Targeted In Burglary

Police have appealed for information after a vulnerable adult was burgled in Armagh on Tuesday afternoon, 23 July.

A male called to the 86-year-old's home on the Derrynaught Road sometime between 5pm and 5.30pm, when it is believed the incident occurred.

Police are seeking the occupants of a Silver Audi that was spotted in the vicinity and reportedly travelled with its boot open for a short period of time.

Anyone who was travelling along the Ratarnet or Hamiltonsbawn Roads and saw a car matching the description or may have dash cam footage is asked to contact investigating officers on 101 quoting reference 1661 23/07/19. Details can also be passed to anonymous service Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111.

Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Investigation Launched After Car Attacked In L'Derry
Police have launched an investigation after a taxi driver's car was attacked in L'Derry. A number of youths jumped on the car as it travelled along the Northland Road at around 11.30pm on Saturday, 05 August. The youths jumped on the bonnet of the vehicle and another broke the driver's side window. The taxi driver is believed to have been in shock.

Police Officers Disciplined For Driving At Excessive Speeds
Two police drivers have been disciplined for driving at excessive speeds without justification in Tyrone in October 2016. A member of the public contacted the Police Ombudsman's Office to report that two police cars had overtaken him at speed as he approached the end of the Moneymore to Cookstown dual carriageway at Cookstown at around 8pm.

Missing Woman Believed To Be In NI
Police in England are appealing for help from Northern Ireland as concerns grow for a missing pregnant woman who is believed to have travelled into the country. Erica Tomlinson, 34,travelled to Pembroke Docks on December 30 with her five-year-old son Tyree in a Vauxhall Agila and according to police they believe she may now be in Northern Ireland.

Police launch investigation into Carrickfergus murder
Police in Carrickfergus have launched a murder investigation after a man died as the result of an attack in the town at the weekend. Local man 49-year-old Thomas Hollran was discovered in an alleyway between Cherry Walk and Woodburn Avenue at around 10pm on Saturday.
