Man Charged Over Belfast Stabbing
Police investigating a knife attack in Belfast over the weekend have charged a 20-year-old man.
The stabbing incident was reported at a flat in the University Street area in the early hours of Saturday 20 July and the man was later arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily injury with intent.
He is now charged with the offence, along with possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence.
The accused is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court today, Monday 22 July and all charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
Police isssued an appealed for information in relation to the stabbing on Saturday. Detective Inspector Kerry Brennan said: "I would appeal to anyone living in this block of flats who witnessed this incident, which spilled out from the flat into the corridor outside the front door of the premises, or anyone who has information that could assist us with our enquiries, to contact detectives at Musgrave on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 121 20/07/19."

Two people have been killed in separate stabbing incidents in Northern Ireland over the weekend. Hugh McKibben, 51, of Main Street in Carrowdore died in a stabbing incident at a house on Inisharoan Court about midnight on Sunday May 5. Four people were arrested following his murder but three have since been released on police bail.

The charges include threats to kill, common assault and criminal damage. The 39-year-old suspect is to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court today, 13 April.

Man Charged Over Fatal Stabbing In Belfast
An 18-year-old man has been charged with the murder of Hazem Ahmed Ghreir. Mr Ghreir, aged in his 30s, was fatally stabbed in the Downshire Place area in Belfast on Sunday, 04 June. The suspect is to appear at Belfast Magistrates' Court today, Wednesday, 07 June. Mr Ghreir's death is not being treated as a hate crime.

Man Released On Bail Over College Stabbing Incident
A man, 20, who was arrested in connection with a stabbing at a college in Belfast has been released on bail. Police said the man was released pending further enquiries. A 26-year-old is currently in hospital following the incident at Belfast Metropolitan College on Thursday. His condition is described as serious but stable.
