Billy McKee Dies Aged 97

A former IRA leader has died at the age of 97.

Billy McKee died at his home in Belfast on Tuesday, 11 June.

He is believed to have joined the IRA in the 1930s.

He left and joined Sinn Féin in the 1980s.

Police search properties during Londonderry raids
Police have carried out a number of raids in homes and businesses in Londonderry this morning, in connection with serious organised crime. It is understood that a total of 18 private houses and commercial properties in the Claudy, Dungiven and Park areas of the city were searched.

Four People Hospitalised After Craigavon Garage Fire
Four people have been left in hospital following a suspected arson attack in Craigavon. A fire was reported in Westacres late last night, 12 July, where a garage was set ablaze. NIFRS was on the scene to tackle the blaze around 11.40pm, joined by police.

Eugene Carr: Man Released In Hunt For Killers
A man arrested by detectives probing the murder of disabled pensioner Eugene Carr has been released unconditionally. Mr Carr was brutally murdered while he slept in his Bessbrook home in August 2015. He died in hospital some eleven weeks later.
