Adair son appears in court over drugs charges
The son of leading loyalist Johnny Adair has pleaded guilty to a number of drugs charges in England.
Jonathon Adair, 19, appeared before Bolton Crown Court on Friday charged with conspiring to supply heroin and crack cocaine.
Adair, who spoke in court only when confirming his name and entering his guilty plea, was in court with co-accused Ben Dowie, 22, and William Truesdale, 40, also from Belfast.
All three individuals, who live in the Horwich area of Greater Manchester, were remained in custody to appear before court on 12th March for pre-sentence reports.
Elsewhere, a Co Louth man has been jailed for 10 years today after being caught with the materials for a huge car bomb in 1998.
Derek Brady of Cedarwood Park in Dundalk pleaded guilty to the possession of 1,240Ibs of home made explosives.
He was arrested at a shed in Dundalk in 1998 alongside another man, Kevin Murray in possession of other components, including two adapted beer kegs, detonator fuse, and a time and power unit.
However, Brady failed to turn up for his trial in May 1999 and was arrested in Dundalk last year.
Murray, who was jailed for 12 years shortly after the incident, later died in prison.

Jonathan Adair, 19, who current resides in Horwich, Greater Manchester admitted at Bolton Crown Court in February to conspiring to supply class A drugs.

Woman Charged With Attempted Murder After Man Stabbed In Co Down
A 36-year-old woman has been charged with attempted murder after a man was stabbed in Co Down. The 54-year-old victim was stabbed in the Manor Court area in Moira on Monday. He is currently in a serious but stable condition in hospital. The woman is to appear at Craigavon Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

Adair due in court over harrassment charge
Former UDA leader Johnny Adair is to appear before a court in Bolton today accused of harassment. Adair, who was released from jail in January, will appear before magistrates in Greater Manchester alongside William Woods who faces two counts of harassment and one charge of common assault.

Man Dies In Fatal Collision In Kilrea
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following a fatal collision in Kilrea. A 35-year-old man has died after the blue Vauxhall Astra car he was driving collided with a tree after it left the Agivey Road at around 8.40pm on Monday, 03 September. The road was closed for a time but has since reopened.
