Shots Fired At Lurgan House

Three people have been left shaken after shots were fired at a property in Lurgan early this morning, Monday 20 May.

A house on the Ballynamoney Road was targeted shortly before 1am, leaving three adults uninjured.

Police have described the act as "completely reckless" and are working to establish a motive. They believe that a silver Volvo which had been set alight in the Shankill Street area and discovered a short time later may be linked to the shooting.

Inspector Duncan McBain said: "Our enquiries are at an early stage and we are working to establish a motive for the attack, and I would appeal to anyone with information about this to contact us.

"I want to appeal to anyone who was in either area and saw any suspicious activity to contact us on the non emergency number 101, quoting reference 55 of 20/05/19."

Alternatively, details can be provided anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
