Man dies in house fire in Newtownabbey
A man has died and three people were rescued following three separate fires across Northern Ireland overnight.
In Newtownabbey, a man, reported to be in his 40s, died after a fire broke out at a house in Cherryvale Park area shortly after 10pm. He has not yet been named. Police and forensic experts were examining the scene of the blaze today.
Earlier a man and woman were rescued by emergency services after their house caught fire in Clandeboye Place, Bangor. The couple were taken to hospital were they were treated for smoke inhalation.
At around the same time another man was rescued from his home in Doagh after a fire broke out in the kitchen. He was also treated for smoke inhalation.

ASSEMBLY CREATE AWARD TO HONOUR FIRE SERVICE
THE Northern Ireland Fire Service is to receive the first ever award given by the province's devolved assembly. An illuminated scroll is to be presented to Chief Fire Officer John McClelland on Tuesday, by assembly speaker Lord Alderdice in tribute to the sacrifice made by fire fighters over the years.

Elderly Man Rescued From House Fire In West Belfast
An 89-year-old man has been rescued from a fire at a house in west Belfast. The blaze happened at a property in the Lenadoon Avenue area in Suffolk on Tuesday, 06 March. Emergency services attended the scene and extinguished the fire.

Man Rescued From House Fire
A man has been rescued from a house fire in north Belfast. The fire started at approximately 7.15am on Monday from a cooking pot that was left unattended in a house in the Malvern Close area of the Shankill. Three fire engines attend the scene. The man was taken to hospital where he was treated for smoke inhalation.

Man rescued from house fire in Derry
A man in his 20’s is recovering in hospital after being rescued from a house fire in Londonderry. Firefighters were called to the house off Shearwater Way in the Waterside area of the city by a neighbour who was alerted by a smoke alarm in the early hours of Friday morning.
