Man Facing Murder Charge Over Niall Magee Stabbing

A 25-year-old man has been charged with the murder of Niall Magee.

Niall, 21, died after a stabbing incident at a house in the Cairn Walk area of Crumlin on Saturday morning, 27 April.

He was taken to hospital for his injuries but died on Sunday morning.

The man charged with murder is due to appear before Limavady Magistrates Court today, Wednesday 01 May.

Three other men, aged 19, 24 and 29, who were also arrested after the incident were released on bail pending further enquiries.

Teenager In Court Over Attempted Murder At Weekend
A 19-year-old man is due in court over an attempted murder charge at the weekend in south Down. The victim was stabbed in an assault in the Square area of Warrenpoint at around 4.20am early Saturday morning. His condition is not thought to be life-threatening. Police arrested two men after the incident occurred.

Simon Tang: Second Murder Charge Withdrawn
A second murder charge over the killing of Chinese restaurateur Simon Tang in 1996 has been withdrawn. Belfast Magistrates' Court has heard the case against Paul Allen will not proceed. Mr Allen, 39, of Drumhoy Drive, Carrickfergus, faced charges over the murder of Simon Tang. Mr Tang was a married father of two.
