Online Portal Launched To Support Employers With Workplace Health
An online web portal is giving businesses and employers across Northern Ireland the ability to access information on occupational health, hygiene and wellbeing.
Developed by The Workplace Health Leadership Group Northern Ireland (WHLGNI) it uses a series of signposts to allow managers and employers to make use of relevant workplace health information quickly and easily.
As well as showcasing current initiatives and best practices campaigns, the site also features case studies, videos, relevant links and a handy A-Z of workplace health.
Wilson Lambe, Chair of WHLGNI said: "There is a plethora of good information out there on workplace health but sometimes it can be difficult to navigate. We hope our portal will act like an index and guide viewers to the information they want quickly."
Jennifer Parkinson, Environmental Health Manager, representing the 11 local councils, said: "Businesses often focus on Safety and accident prevention, but equally important are Occupational Health and Hygiene as well as the wellbeing of employees. This web portal will provide great assistance to any business – small, medium or large - aiming to meet the challenges of workplace health."
The site will also feature details of workplace health events taking place around the province.
The service can be found online.
