Over 600 People In Crowd Of Cookstown Tragedy

More than 600 people were in the queue or car park outside the Greenvale Hotel on the night three teenagers died in an apparent crush, it has emerged.

The PSNI gave an update on the investigation into the St Patrick's Day tragedy when Lauren Bullock, 17, Morgan Barnard, 17, and Connor Currie, 16, all lost their lives on Sunday 17 March.

619 young people have been identified as being in the area at the time, with 267 of those already interviewed, according to Detective Superintendent Raymond Murray.

Police have viewed mobile phone footage from the scene, submitted by witnesses via the Major Incident Public Portal. The investigation is ongoing and anyone who has not yet contacted officers is urged to come forward and help the police build an accurate picture of the events last Sunday.

Police Ombudsman Dr Michael Maguire is examining how police responded when the first emergency call was made at around 9.30pm.
