Human Remains Discovered At Sea Near Co Down Harbour

A harbour in County Down was sealed off this morning, 26 March, after human remains were discovered at sea.

Police attended the scene at Portavogie Harbour after a boat brought the remains to shore.

Efforts are underway to establish the identity of the deceased and a cause of death.

There are no further details at present.

Storms Reveal Historic Shipwreck In Portrush Harbour

The remains were reported to Historic Environment Division (HED) after recent storms removed large amounts of sand from the area. Man Dies Following Crash In Magherafelt
A man in his 40s has died following a road traffic crash in Magherafelt on Tuesday. A tractor and a motorbike were involved in the collision which happened on the Aughrim Road just after 8.30pm. The man, who was driving the motorbike, was taken to hospital but died from his injuries.
