Man Robbed At Knife Point In Belfast City Centre

A man has been left shaken after he was robbed in Belfast City Centre yesterday morning, Monday 18 March.

The victim was approached on Oxford Street at approximately 1.30am and forced to withdraw money from an ATM machine from an unknown male who threatened him with a Stanley knife. The suspect then made off with the money, as well as the victim's iPhone 8 and debit card.

The man was not injured but was left shocked by the ordeal.

Detective Sergeant O'Flaherty has appealed to anyone who witnessed this incident or has any information that could assist police with their enquiries to contact detectives at Musgrave on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 777 18/03/19. Information can also be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Staff At Co Down Shop Shaken After Armed Robbery
Members of staff at a shop in County Down have been left badly shaken after being threatened by a knife wielding man during an armed robbery. The incident took place at around 6am on Monday when a man armed with a knife reportedly entered the premises on the Downpatrick Road in Ardglass.

Third Man Arrested Over Gerard 'Jock' Davison Murder Released
A third man arrested by police investigating the murder of Gerard 'Jock' Davison has been released. Mr Davison, 47, a former IRA Commander, was shot several times in the Markets area of Belfast on Tuesday morning. Three men arrested over the killing have been released unconditionally. Police do not believe the murder was sectarian.
