Detectives have launched an investigation into the deaths of three people in a County Down town.
The bodies of a man, woman and teenage girl were discovered at a flat in Glin Ree Court in Newry this morning, Thursday 07 March.
Detective Superintendent Jason Murphy said the circumstances surrounding the deaths are being investigated, with post-mortem examinations to take place in due course.
"At this stage it would not be appropriate to elaborate any further on the circumstances as our enquiries are at an extremely early stage," DS Murphy added.
Sinn Fein Councillor Charlie Casey said the local community in Newry is in shock at the deaths.
He added: "My thoughts and sympathies are with all of those involved in this incident and their families. Details are still emerging and a police investigation is underway and that should be allowed to proceed.
"I would encourage anyone with information on this incident to bring it forward to the PSNI."
