Major Belfast Road Closed As Fire Breaks Out

Police have closed the Upper Newtownards Road as firefighters deal with a blaze at a pub near the Ulster Hospital.

Sam's Grill at The Lewis has been engulfed in flames causing long traffic delays in the area this morning, 31 January.

The popular commuter route has been closed between Eastlink Road and Church Road.

Translink have adapted their Glider service to operate to and from the Ulster Hospital until further notice, while police and fire crews tackle the blaze.

An earlier crash and snowfall are also adding to delays in the area.
