Two children injured in bottle attack

Police are appealing for information after two children were injured in a bottle attack.

The children, aged five and just 15 weeks, sustained cuts to the face and ear after a bottle was thrown through the window of the car they were travelling in.

The incident occurred as the car travelled along Bilston Road in the Ligoniel area of north Belfast at around 4pm on Sunday.

Neither children needed hospital treatment.

Police said a man in his 20's was behind the incident and that it was random attack.

Attempted Arson Attack In Newry
Police have launched an investigation in connection with an attempted arson attack at a flat in Newry. The incident occurred at a property on Cleary Crescent at around 9.15pm on Monday. A flammable liquid was poured through the door from a plastic bottle which was placed at the door and set on fire. Damage was caused to the door.

Mother And Children Hit By Car
A mother and her six children have been hit by a car while walking to school in Cloughmills, County Antrim. The group was on the Loughill Road just after 08:30 when the incident occurred. The woman and three children were taken to hospital. It is reported that the mother is in a serious condition and that one child is in a very serious condition.
