Teen Arrested In Connection With Coleraine Attack
A teenager has been arrested after two women were stabbed in County L'Derry over the weekend.
The victims, both aged 22, were attacked while out walking in the Beresford Avenue of Coleraine at around 11.25pm on Sunday 13 January.
They were taken to hospital for injuries which are believed to be serious but not life threatening at this time.
The 17-year-old male was detained a short time later and remains in custody on suspicion of a number of offences including attempted murder.
PSNI Inspector David Jennings said: "We would like to hear from anyone who was in the area and who witnessed the incident or who noticed two males running away. Officers can be contacted by calling 101, quoting reference 1220 13/01/19."

Coleraine Arson Attack 'Attempted Murder'
Police are treating an arson attack on a Coleraine home in which a family of four escaped injury as attempted murder. The property at Rinvarna Court in the Co L'Derry town was attacked on Sunday night. Police and fire and ambulance crews attended the scene. Two members of the family were rescued with the help of people in the area at the time.

Attempted Murder Charges Over Larne Disturbance
Two men have been charged with attempted murder by detectives investigating serious disturbances in Larne, County Antrim, in March. The 28-year-old and a 34-year-old also face charges of riot, intimidation and criminal damage following the incident on 30 March. They are due to appear at Coleraine Magistrates' Court today, 20 June.
