The charges relate to south-east Asian terror group Jemaah Islamiah, which has links with the al-Qaeda network.

The court was told that when the charges were read out to Mr Ofrasio, he replied "no comment".

On Monday, a female nurse working at the Royal Victoria Hospital, who is from outside Northern Ireland, was released without charge by police.
