Arrest After Man Found Dead In Ballymena
A woman has been arrested following the discovery of a man's body at a home in Ballymena.
Detectives from the PSNI's Major Investigation Team launched a murder investigation following the death of the 40-year-old at a house in the Devenagh Court area of the town on Thursday 22 November.
Detective Chief Inspector Peter McKenna, who is leading the investigation, said the fatality was reported at around 3pm yesterday afternoon.
"A post mortem examination has yet to take place but, at this time, I am treating this as murder," he added.
"A 53-year-old woman was subsequently arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody.
"My thoughts go out to the victim's family at this tragic time."
Councillor Lindsay Millar, Mayor of Mid & East Antrim Borough council, also expressed her sympathies to the man's friends and family, and added that the tragic death was "upsetting".
Mrs Millar also urged anyone with information to contact the PSNI, who are appealing for information. Detectives can be reached on non-emergency line 101.

Malcolm McKeown: Police Make One Arrest
Detectives probing the fatal shooting of Malcolm McKeown outside a Co Down petrol station have arrested a man in his twenties. Mr McKeown, aged 54, was found dead in his car outside Dewart's Garage in Waringstown on Monday 19 August. He had been shot six times. The suspect, aged 26, has been taken to Musgrave Station for questioning.

A man has been arrested by detectives investigating the murder of Kevin McAlorum in Co Antrim over fifteen years ago. Mr McAlorum was gunned down outside a primary school in Derriaghy on 03 June 2004. The 55-year-old man was arrested under the Terrorism Act in Belfast by the PSNI's Major Investigation Team on Tuesday 17 September.

The PSNI's Major Investigation Team have launched a murder investigation into the disappearance of 47-year-old Damien Heagney from Cookstown. Mr Heagney was reported missing on Tuesday 19 July and police have said that they are "keeping an open mind" they now believe that he has been murdered.

A death in west Belfast more than 35 years ago is again under the spotlight after detectives from the PSNI's Serious Crime Branch have arrested a 54-year-old man as part of a renewed investigation into the 1975 murder. Inquiries have been re-opened into the murder of Paul Crawford, 25, who was shot on the Falls Road on 12 April 1975.
